Salavat Yulaev (Russian: Салават Юлаев) is a professional ice hockey team based in Ufa in the Republic of Bashkortostan, a federal subject of the Russian Federation. They are members of the Chernyshev Division of the Kontinental Hockey League, and were part of Group C of the 2008–09 Champions Hockey League.

The club is named after Salavat Yulaev, a national hero of Bashkortostan. Previously, the club was known as Trud Ufa (1957 to 1959) and Gastello Ufa (1959-1962). Salavat Yulaev is the winner of the last Russian Super League title in 2008.
Salavat Yulaev Ufa has played in 77 international games against clubs from of Bulgaria , Denmark , Latvia , Poland, Romania, Finland, Croatia, Czechoslovakia, Switzerland, Sweden (with a record of 67 victories, 5 ties and 5 defeats). Its first international game was played on December, 30th, 1961 in Ufa with Wismuth (GDR).
On July 11, 2008, Salavat signed NHL rising star Alexander Radulov. On June 9, 2009, a press release was issued, stating that Viktor Kozlov had signed a three-year contract to return to Russia.[1] The club has also signed Norwegian forward Patrick Thoresen for 2009-10 and 2010-11 seasons.
